Among The Garden

It is all for Him + through Him. Thank you, Jesus.

She was a wife + writer…

She was eloquent with her words, drawing you into her writing. She taught her 4 children well. Not just academics, but of faith, hope, and Jesus. Those around her would sit for hours to spend time with her. To pray with her, ask for wisdom, and fellowship. Not because of her alone, but the light that shown through her from her relationship with Christ. She ministered to women of all walks of life. She led prayer ministries to walk in her God-given calling. She sought out the quiet, lonely, and hopeless, inviting them in, loving them, and sharing the true hope of Jesus with them.

She spent time in her garden, tending to her plants + flowers like those around her. Speaking life into her daughter as she worked. They had conversations about life, wisdom, Jesus, and the future. They spoke about starting a mother-daughter outlet to minister to others. To unite their love for writing + sharing Jesus with others.

November 13, 2021 she took her last breath on this earth and joined her God face to face. She left a lasting impact on her daughter. Not just for the mother that she was but the woman of God that she was. How she lived with grace, how she treated others. How she loved others like Jesus, welcoming them in and sharing the truth with them.

Her daughter lives on, trying to carry her legacy and share Jesus.

Now, here I am, a wife + a writer like my mother. In November 2023, I launched this blog- Among The Garden in honor of my sweet mother. I wanted to use this platform to glorify the God that we both know and talked about together. I wanted to carry on the plans with talked about in the garden and share Jesus with others. To be a place that all are welcome, to read, and know the truth of Jesus. My mother held such grace and still spoke the truth boldly. I long to do the same here with Among The Garden.

Let those that read these words, hear Jesus through them. It is all for Him + through Him. Thank you, Jesus.

This is Among The Garden.

Come + stay a while.

Love,

When Love Looks Like Jesus

“Jesus LOVED his disciples by teaching, guiding, protecting, and sacrificially serving them. This wasn’t just to love them, but to set up a pattern for them to follow and share with others. We are called to do the same in our walks of life. This world that we live in has desperately cried out for love and perverted the idea to the point that it has little meaning behind it.

What if our love started looking like Jesus?”

“Now I continue to grow… though you aren’t here beside me. Your words and wisdom remain with me, along with your legacy. It’s my turn to tend to the purple flowers. to sow into others what you gave to me. Sharing the love, encouragement, prayer, kindness, and joy with them. To walking in the way that you did with God. Pointing others to Him, the one that created them. Who gave them a name before the world was formed. The one that calls them “beloved”.”
